EVENT
Gateway to Working Life is a low-threshold recruitment event organized annually in January.
At Gateway to Working Life Tampere University of Applied Sciences students get to know and talk to organizations in different fields about the job opportunities they offer.
The event is organized by the student union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Tamko, in cooperation with TAMK's Career Services, subject organizations and clubs .
The event has been organized since 2010 , and over the years it has developed into a three-day multidisciplinary event, where companies and students meet, network and get to discuss jobs and internships as well as thesis opportunities.
The event coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating the event together with Tamko's communications expert.
The trade fair coordinator for each event year is always the vice chairman of Tamko's board from the previous year, as planning, sales and implementation of the event take place from early spring until the end of January.

PROGRAMME
Interview simulator
Welcome to challenge yourself and practice for job interview in interview simulator! The booked time is personal: only you and the interviewer are present.
In interview simulator you'll take part in a mock job interview that lasts for about 15-20 minutes. The interviewer asks you a few usual job interview questions and you answer and act as you would in a real job interview.
After the interview simulation you'll have an opportunity to receive feedback about the interview. Interview simulator is a practice that doesn't affect your studies or whether you get a job or not. However, the situation often feels like a real interview and you may feel nervous as if it was a real interview.
Book a suitable 30-minute personal interview simulation the day before the latest:

When booking the time, fill out the form. You can also choose in which language you want to have the interview: in Finnish, in English or in both languages (in which case we will switch the language in midst of the interview). You don't have to prepare for the simulation unless you want to.
Interview simulator will be organized at TAMK main campus (C1). You will receive further instructions on the calendar invitation you receive on your Tuni-email after booking.

The CV-clinic is free of charge and runs throughout the event 20.-22.1. from 10 to 14 at the HUBS area of the main campus, C-building first floor.

For participating students Demola offers 2-month long project through which students can earn creditpoints.
CV-photoshoot
Come and have a professional photographer take a high-quality CV photo for you at the Gateway to Working Life event! No appointment is needed; photos are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and is free of charge.
CV-photoshoot will be available throughout the event from 20.-22.1. between 10 AM and 2 PM, in the HUBS area of the main campus, first floor of C-building.
